Vibe Survivor

Created by VibeCreAI

Behind the scenes of Vibe Survivor documents my journey as a first-time game creator using AI as a creative partner rather than a shortcut. With no traditional software background, the video explores how I approached planning, problem-solving, and learning game development by collaborating with AI tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex for programming, PixelLab AI for visual assets, and ElevenLabs for sound and music. It shares the challenges, breakthroughs, and mindset shifts that shaped the final game, focusing on process, experimentation, and how AI expanded what I believed I could create on my own.

Vibe Survivor began as a personal challenge to see whether someone with no traditional software background could build a complete game using AI as a creative partner. Built entirely through AI collaboration for code, art, sound, and music, the game is a fast-paced survival shooter inspired by the Vampire Survivors genre, featuring dash-based movement, weapon merges, escalating enemy waves, and precision-driven boss encounters. Developed in vanilla JavaScript using tools like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, PixelLab AI, and ElevenLabs, the project was created through iterative planning, experimentation, and problem-solving rather than automation. What started as an experiment in “vibe-coding” became a fully playable, polished game and a testament to how creative vision combined with AI can unlock entirely new ways to build.
