Our primary inspiration was the remarkable true story of Mariola Popińska---the first Polish woman to conquer Mount Vinson, the highest peak in Antarctica. What made her story so compelling was not just the physical feat, but the context: Mariola was not a professional mountaineer, but a dedicated homemaker (a "kura domowa," or "domestic hen") who discovered her passion for climbing late in life. Her journey proves that determination can overcome professional background and external skepticism, and that it is never too late to fight for one's own dreams.
